Why we started it
Two parents. Two aging parents. One feeling we couldn’t shake.
We’re both parents ourselves — jobs, kids, weeknights that vanish before we know it. And we’re both watching our own parents get older. Quieter weeks. Longer afternoons. The slow shift where phone calls get shorter because there’s less to report.
We hated that we couldn’t be there more. Not the helping-with-things kind of being there — the keeping-them-company kind. So we built MyPopover so someone warm, someone we’d want at our own parents’ kitchen table, could pop over when we couldn’t.
That’s the whole thing. An hour of real company, on the days we can’t deliver it ourselves.
